Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
All forms of communication will be strictly confidential. All phone calls, including telephone sessions are conducted in a private setting and held in strict confidence.

Exceptions include:

  1. If a person intends to do serious harm to him or herself or another, appropriate steps must be to protect the health or safety of a person or the public.
  2. If disclosure is mandated by law requiring the report of evidence of abuse or neglect of minor, vulnerable adult, or unborn child. This includes pregnant women with substance abuse issues.
  3. Records ordered by the court, required by lawfully issued search warrant, for specific government functions, or otherwise specifically required by law.

 Confidentiality arrangements will be discussed during the initial session for adolescents and children.

Telephone and Crisis Procedures

When you call the clinic, if no one is available to answer your call you will be able to leave confidential voice mail message. If you need to speak with some one right away, you may call First Call for Help at 561- 291-0211 any time 24 hours a day. If it is urgent, you may reach Dr. Beyzavi on her cell phone at 763-300-4847. 

If there is a life threatening issue, call 911 or go to a hospital emergency room for evaluation.
